The Association of Firetech Innovation (AFI) was founded in 2025 by a group of 9 wildfire technology startups and related advocates in the private sector who see the need to organize within the industry and work collectively to get better tools into the hands of firefighters and land managers.

AFI is delivering advanced technologies to detect, mitigate, suppress, and strengthen resilience from wildfires. AFI's member companies are deploying commercially available tools today that improve response times, increase mitigation ROI, and enhance resilience across diverse landscapes and jurisdictions.

From camera and satellite-enabled fire detection to predictive risk modeling, robotic fuel treatment systems, and defensible space platforms, these technologies directly align with the Administration's stated objectives: reducing long-term wildfire risk, improving operational effectiveness, and making better use of taxpayer dollars.
